This year we are going to be continuing our little family tradition of going to the Utah State Fair. It's fun experience for everyone. We've really enjoyed Jeff and Amy's company the last couple of years, and sure hope they can make it this year. We are inviting all friends and family to come with us on Mon Sept 12th:)
The first year we went I think Quentin was two almost three and Henrik was 9 months old. It was the one place we went that summer where Quentin could do most of the rides, with either Dave or I. I can remember his face on the race car ride as it would zoom fast on the corners. It was like pure excitement, big bright eyes, mouth fully opened, gut busting, laughing as hard as his little body would let him. I think Dave was laughing just as hard as he sat right next to him. He also loved the Dragon roller coaster, riding the Ferris wheel with Mom, and the big yellow slide you go down on a burlap sack. He ate a corn on the cob dipped in butter with lemon pepper, elephant ears, and hot dogs. Yum, yum, yum!
The second year, which would make Quentin 3 almost 4 and Henrik 1 almost 2 we had even more fun. Quentin took a pony ride, got licked by a baby cow and did not enjoy the Ferris wheel as much as the year before. Henrik was able to go on the race car ride that year. His face was just as lit up as Quentins was. Dave was one the ride with them and all three boys were just laughing and were loving it!
The Fair as brought many more great memories to our family and we hope that we can make it every year. We love the atmosphere, the small town look and feel when we're there. Hope to see you at the Fair!

We've really enjoyed it, too! We're looking forward to going this year, and we hope Henry has a good time looking at all the crazy fun stuff. Did you guys get tickets to the concert that night?
Not yet, Dave has a mission companion that's going with him so it will be just me and the boys for a little while
